In the north of Thailand around 1949 Nationalist Chinese settled down, so to speak, they fled for Mao Zedong. These settlers belonged to the same camp as the immigrants of Taiwan. They created beautiful tea gardens where tea is cultivated with the knowledge from before the cultural revolution, knowledge of which much has been destroyed during the revolutonairy days of the People's Republic of China.
