The dried tea has long and thin leaves with dark brown, yellow and green hues, the traditional "Cao Mi (brown rice)" color of Long Jing tea. The "Yu Ye (fish shaped leaves)" indicate the first harvest of the year. The tea has a bright pale green color. This tea has a pronounced scent and taste of sweet nuts, with an egglike edge, characteristic of a beautiful Long Jing tea. TIPS: When brewing Chinese tea in a gaiwan, you should always leave a small amount of liquid in the gaiwan between each infusion, take the lid off the gaiwan during brewing. If you want to enjoy the tea again later in the day, keep the tea under a little cold water.
