Alpaca wool is very comfortable to wear, light and warm and is less itchy than ordinary wool. The wool contains no lanolin so it can be worn without difficulty by people with an allergy to lanolin. Alpaca is an exclusive wool and is often compared with mohair and angora wool. Also, alpaca is strong, doesn't peel and is easily washable. Due to the self-cleaning properties of wool one doesn't have to wash it often. If you still want to wash, use cold water with a little soft detergent, wring it gently and dry flat. Alpaca wool can be machine washed using the wool wash preset.
