Gopaldhara Red Thunder Ruby Darjeeling. This 'frosted' tea was produced in limited edition on November 22, 2021 (Ex-069/21) and picked, only leaves and buds. This tea is made from the best clones of Darjeeling, known as AV2, which is exceptional as not many shrubs of this variety can be found at this high altitude. Picked during extreme cold weather, frost forms on the leaves at night, causing the tea to grow slowly. This gives the tea the special and complex taste of ripe fruit. The tea has a bright orange color with a very rich character, a full round and dense fruity muscatel taste. The finish is very clean and reminiscent of sweet honey and fragrant wood.
