Jin Jun Mei, a High-End tea, also called Golden Eyebrow, from Wuyi Huang Village China. Jin Jun Mei is a relatively young tea, developed in 2005 in Tongmu, Wuyi region in Fujian. It started as an experiment with only the small buds of the tea bushes and adaptations of the oxidation process. This tea has delicate buds with a considerable amount of golden tips. The tea is slightly malty with a golden orange infusion and has a deep and clear taste. The tea has a honey-like sweetness and a subtle creaminess.

A nice detail about the tea trade: When we were in Anxi at the harvest of the Tie Guan Yin in 2014, they told us that all the tiny peaks that fell out of the tea at one of the last editions were bought by Wuyi traders to to make Jin Jun Mei ;-)
