Fushoushan Oolong spriing 2022, coming from Mount Fushou, the highest peak in the Lishan region, Taiwan.
The ultimate experience of a slightly oxidized and non-roasted oolong tea from Taiwan. The Taiwanese way of preparation is 7 grams of tea per 100ml of water. The steeping time is half a minute. This way tea can be re-infused very often and you can enjoy it all day long. The tea is rolled and you can give it the opportunity to wake up in a preheated, rinsed gaiwan or a teapot. High mountain oolong is also called Gaoshan, or Gao Shan Cha. Fushoushan Oolong, variety Green heart (Qingxin), is a typical 'high mountain' oolong, cultivated very high (around 2500 to 2600 meters). Due to the weather conditions at this altitude, where the temperature differences between day and night are huge, the tea plants harden. These conditions increase the level of aromas, taste and complexity of the tea. During spring and summer, these mountains are regularly covered in fog and mist, alternating with periods of bright sunlight and clear blue skies. Because of this unique climate in the high mountains, this is an excellent region for growing complex and aromatic Oolongs. We buy our high quality Taiwanese tea from a lady from Nantou, Taiwan, a lady who has been buying tea for 20 years, with a nose for quality.
