Hyson is Gorreana’s refined green tea, known for its bright colour and smooth flavour. The leaves are carefully steamed and dried to preserve their natural aromas. This tea has subtle notes of citrus and grass, without the bitterness often associated with green tea, with a slightly licorice aftertaste. The unique climate and volcanic soil of the Azores give the tea a characteristic, smooth flavour and a refined aroma.

Gorreana tea is produced on the oldest active tea plantation in Europe, located on the Portuguese island of São Miguel in the Azores. Since 1883, Gorreana has been known for its completely natural production process, without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers.
