Himalaya Soongava, from Ilam, Nepal. This black (red) tea, picked in the last week of September 2023, is hand-rolled with great care and oxidized and hot-set with precision. A ripe full tea, velvety on the one hand, but rich and lively on the other. The tea is reminiscent of dried fruit (dates) and mountain honey.

This tea is produced by the young tea maker Vivek; He and his parents own a small tea garden of 0.11 hectares and sell part of the unprocessed harvest as raw material to a larger tea processing factory. He also saves part of his harvest to process it himself with skill, just like his mother, who used to do this on a smaller scale.
