Pre Qing Ming Bi Luo Chun
Pre Qing Ming Bi Luo Chun from Taiwan. This batch was picked on March 13, 2024, before the first rainfall. This green tea can be considered a classic Taiwanese green tea. Its history and popularity is linked to the Western export trading houses that wanted to offer Chinese-style tea sourced from accessible areas around Taipei, at a time when dealing with the mainland was more problematic due to the Sino-Japanese Wars, Civil War and the subsequent establishment of the People's Republic of China. Even though this Bi Luo Chun historically shares the same processes as its supposed counterpart from the North, this tea has developed into a typically Taiwanese tea. The taste is full, buttery, beans with floral fresh accents.
